A local favorite is Pawleys Island Bakery, 10517 Ocean Highway, an unassuming shop in a strip mall. But looks can be deceiving. Step inside to discover a large selection of fresh-baked goodies served with delicious java drinks. 

Parlor Doughnuts, 11359 Ocean Highway, makes all your favorite coffee drinks and then some. They serve drip coffee, iced lattes, cold brew, espresso, cappuccino, Mayan mocha, cortado, matcha, and chai. Of course, the real draw here are the doughnuts in flavors ranging from Dreamsicle to bourbon caramel to lemonade. 

Order the Cubano Espresso at The Bagel Cafe of Litchfield, 113 Willbrook Blvd. In fact, all the coffee drinks taste rich and flavorful, and go great with any of their more than dozen varieties of bagels. 

Does anyone serve coffee better than Dunkin? The location at 10225 Ocean Highway features a casual, coastal vibe where staff serve all your favorites, whether traditional Americano, seasonal flavors or iced/frozen concoctions. And we hear their doughnuts are pretty good, too.  

Starbucks at 10172 Ocean Highway is another franchise that earned its spot as a favorite. Serving hot coffee, hot teas, cold coffee, Frappuccino’s and more, Starbucks makes a cozy place to relish your choice pick-me-up.  

Incredible Edibles Bakery, 11326 Ocean Highway, Unit 3, keeps it local by serving coffee by Coastal Coffee Roasters and tea from the Charleston Tea Plantation. The shop provides a sweet atmosphere with pastries to match. 

Millstone Biscuit Co., 2751 U.S. 17 N. in Murrells Inlet, is rustic on the outside but with a modern interior. They serve breakfast and lunch (biscuits are gigantic), but it’s also a wonderful place to take a coffee break. The coffee is delicious, fresh and hot.
