FIVE NIGHT MINIMUM in Off Season...
This lovely 6 bedroom 5.5 bath second row home is located in South Litchfield. This home is conveniently across the street from the beach access and only a short walk to ocean front dining. This lovely home offers a large back yard with a deck, table and chairs and a gas grill (guests provide gas). Amenities include central H/VAC, large living area, den, 10' dining table, fully equipped kitchen, keurig and standard drip coffee maker, dishwasher and microwave, butlers kitchen with a beverage/wine fridge, 4 TV's, 2 DVD players, wifi, cable, and an outside shower.
Bedding accommodations are as follows-
Top Floor: 1 bedroom with a queen and a twin w/ a trundle; 1 bedroom with a queen and a twin; 1 bedroom with a king and a crib
Middle floor: King bedroom

This house fit the needs of our group extremely well. We loved having two separate living spaces, the extra kitchen and butler's kitchen, and ample bathrooms. The rooms were nice and cozy, and the beds were super comfortable. The pool was a wonderful bonus, and we didn't mind the walk across the street to the beach at all.
We had some concerns over some maintenance issues. The chairs at the game table downstairs were in poor shape. Many of the arms were loose and coming off and had screws sticking out of them. The railing on the upstairs porch overlooking the pool was rickety and had several spots that were rotting. The plastic chairs on that porch were covered with mildew.
We felt we could have been better informed about basic items that would or would not be available. This include dish soap, dishwasher detergent, kitchen towels and dish cloths, paper towels, trash bags, and basic kitchen staples like spices, cooking spray, etc. We didn't mind providing them but would have liked to know in advance so we could bring them instead of having to go buy everything.
We would definitely stay here again!

Our advantageous linen package includes hand/bath soap, bath towels, linens, paper towels and dish towels. Many of our homes are equipped with dish soap, etc. from guests and owners leaving purchased items. We appreciate you bringing the few maintenance issues to our attention attention and will address them. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future!

Our big family loves “Meant to Beach”! It is a perfect house for us and all ages love it. The kids and adults really enjoyed the great pool. The only problem we had was with the garbage company. They only picked up once during the whole week. They never picked up on Saturday. We felt bad leaving full cans for the people coming in the next week. My son in law even took several bags home in his truck. A real problem!

We found Meant 2 B'each to be a perfect fit for our family of families. Plenty of rooms and bathrooms, plenty of space in the kitchen and butler's pantry, even an extra kitchen downstairs -- yes there are three refrigerators! The pool was a huge plus. We loved being able to walk across the street to the beach.

The master bath ceiling had excessive mildew and the floor was damaged.
The front railing was loose. The front door and front storm door locks required repair. The dishwasher leaked.
The rental company responded quickly to all issues but the house is in need of repair.
We will rent the property next year but if it continues to deteriorate we will pursue other options in the future.
Hopefully this will not be an issue.
The property location, size, and amenities work well for us.

The mildew in the master bath is stemming from guests not running the exhaust fan when taking a shower. Being in South Carolina on the coast, the humidity levels have been very high this year, so even something as small as not running the fan to help eliminate the moisture can cause major issues.
The owners replaced the leaking dishwasher and just had a new grill delivered to the property today.
We are looking forward to your return and are hopeful you will have a better experience next year!

Overall the house was fine. The house is spacious and well furnished. The bedrooms were comfy and the kitchen was especially well furnished. The dual dishwashers were a lovely and useful amenity.
There is a mold issue in the master bathroom that needs immediate attention. The wall and ceiling are black and the wall is soft. There may be a leak from above.
As you know the weather was godawful thanks to tropical storm Debby. We did get to the beach finally on Friday and Saturday. The proximity to the beach is a big plus. Thank goodness for the Olympics on those rainy days!
We had a positive experience and a nice stay. I think we will try to rebook this house if we can all agree on a date for next year.
