Dutch Courage is a super Pawleys Island home that is just steps away from having sand between your toes! Newly renovated with a brand new state-of-the-art kitchen equipped with stainless steel appliances perfect for the avid cook. Enjoy your family meals at the awesome dining room table fit with a lazy Susan. New beds throughout the house gives plenty of room for the whole family. Right across the street from the nearest beach access in the "Bird's Nest" of the South end of Pawleys, this house is hard to miss - it's Bright blue with a colorful "Dutch Courage" sign out front! The porches on the house (both screened and unscreened) are great for those sunny beach days and warm nights relaxing from a full day in the sand.
The first floor features one bedroom with a king bed and the 2nd bedroom features a queen. Upstairs there are two rooms that feature a queen in each and one room with 2 twins. The last area is a lofted area upstairs in the hall with a twin bed with trundle. This home is sure to become a family favorite! Dutch Courage comes complete with the sound of the ocean hear best from the front porch and a less than a minute walk to the beach. Additional amenities include: central HVAC, wifi, cable, screened porch, and the home is located on a corner lot to ensure sufficient parking and room for a boat.

Great location just steps from the beach. The house was spacious and clean with new paint and remodeled kitchen. My family loved Pawleys and already wanting to plan a return. The folks at Tidelife couldn’t have been nicer and the whole experience was easy and friendly.

The house was as described by Tidelife Vacation Rentals. Good communication and easy key pick up. The kitchen was well stocked and laid out. We loved the huge round table for our 9...now we all want to install a lazy Susan at home, perfect! Lots of comfy chairs. I really liked that the main TV was in a nook off of the living room so TV watchers weren’t in the center of the living space. The grandkids had a blast under the house on rainy days. There are tons of board games and paperbacks. Big side entry porch to leave sandy shoes. Plenty of parking, we had 3 cars. The right side stairs are split with a landing so easier to navigate with beach bags and groceries. I did like the open plastic shelf unit at the end of the kitchen, it let us have all the food and drinks visible to grab and go. Plenty of Corelle dishes and non breakable cups! But...the full front of the house screen porch was terrific for soaking up the beach breezes, listening to the waves and hanging out at night just rocking away... Hopefully we will be back next year!
We all loved BisQit, Moes, Quigleys, La Famiglia, DeRomas, Rosie’s and of course Gilbert’s for Ice Cream!

Everything was very nice from a location standpoint. The rental company was very responsive and easy to work with. We did have some issues with ants and the door knobs downstairs came off for no reason. Everything was addressed promptly and the ants were finally gone. Overall a great experience.

TideLife was great to work with. The credit we received to rent beach chairs etc was awesome! The house was comfortable and well equipped! The towels and linens provided by TideLife were good quality. Screen in Front Porch was great to relax in. A new grill is needed on the property, steak knives and lobster crackers.

We enjoyed our stay at Dutch Courage. The location was FABULOUS! Everyone loved being so close to the beach. Being able to hear the ocean while relaxing on the screened porch was a bonus. The property was as described and provided plenty of room. There have been some recent upgrades and we look forward to staying in the future to see what the new owners do next.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Dutch Courage was amazing! Close enough to the beach to come back for food, drinks etc. We rented a cabana tent and chairs which were set up and taken down each day. We’d cone back in a heart beat! Pictures don’t do it justice.

We really enjoyed our stay at Dutch Courage for Thanksgiving. The house was just what we needed for our family gathering. The large table had plenty of room for all of us to be able to sit and eat together. The location was just across the street from public access to the beach and the boat landing was a short distance away. Tidelife Vacation Rentals are so wonderful to work with.

This was a wonderful place to stay! It’s on the second row and the beach access is on the corner just cross the street! You can also hear the ocean and see it from the large screened in porch. Very beachy feel inside and plenty of space! The house was also very clean which is a plus during Covid. My only suggestions are provide more than one dish towel please and might not be a bad idea to clean out and reorganize cabinets and drawers in kitchen. We would most definitely stay here again!

We’ve stayed at this property when it was “Dinkins”, and managed by a different company. The extensive renovations that have been done by the new owners are wonderful, and the location makes it a great place to celebrate the 4th of July. Adding access to the porch from outside, and extending the deck around the side of the house is a huge improvement. The interior is clean and bright; a welcome change from the wood paneling. We really appreciated the new kitchen layout, new appliances, and especially the changeover to gas cooking. Our 2 week stay, overall, was enjoyable, but would have been better if more space had been made in the kitchen to accommodate our food (most things had to sit out on the limited counter space); if there had been room in the bedroom closets to hang clothes/store luggage (the bedroom closets were large enough, but they were full of stuff); and if there had been a few small tables inside and on the porch to accommodate a drink/book. There was also a vehicle parked in the only space that was under the house which made it inconvenient when bringing groceries in when it was raining. Tidelife staff are a pleasure to work with, and we especially appreciated having linens provided with the rental rather than having to rent separately or bring our own.

Great location across the street from public access to beach. Close enough to hear the waves crash and see the ocean while enjoying morning coffee or an evening cocktail in a rocking chair on the front porch. The house is large with 5 spacious bedrooms and a day bed in the the loft. Love the huge round table with lazy susan for family meals. It was nice to find a reasonably priced home that allowed our whole family, including our two dogs, to enjoy a comfortable beach vacation. Pictures don't do the home justice.

The home was very clean and exactly as advertised. It is dated, particularly the kitchen, but we were just there for the weekend and ate meals out so it was not an issue. Great location across the street from the beach with very convenient beach access.
