Dad's Legasea

Everything from booking to check-out went smoothly. The house itself is a dream. We only left the property to go to the grocery store. The rest of the time we were on the beach, the dock or one of the many porches. The weather was cooler than we had hoped, but it didn't hinder our fishing or our fun! I would recommend this property to anyone considering renting it even though I'd love to keep it a hidden secret.

easy check in, great property and location, didn’t want to leave

I love Pawleys Island and have booked off season rentals with them for the past four years with Tide Life. I have health issues related to mobility that make it difficult to load and unload luggage and groceries up and down the stairs. Up til this year, Tide Life had secured me a very nice place to enjoy my overall stays. I was very disappointed that I was not notified of the lift being unavailable this previous stay. Other than that, WOW !! What a beautiful experience it was !!

Dad’s LegO’Sea was great . There were multiple improvements ( new ice machine, new refrigerator, 2new chairs and new blinds). The elevator makes things so much better when arriving and leaving. Having bed linens (beds made) and towels makes things easier. Being on the ocean and creek is plus also. Good times at this house for 43 years.

Relaxing but maintenance was needed. Hot and cold water lines were switched on the washer. Ruined a cotton dress I washed. It shrank. Palmetto bugs were bad outside and we found three inside. But the price was most concerning. This property was $150 more per night than one right next door that was three times the size of our place. Price matters!
I will be looking to rent from Lachicotte as we can have thee times the room and save $1000 for the week.

Pet friendly they mean it. Dog hair on all the bed sheets and sofa pillows.

That's my only complaint.

The management was super speedy in helping with the tv remote problems. I promised them a 5 star review on this part. Promise kept.

I am not a beach fan. But the rest of the family is. My brother in law caught fish. Everyone loved Franks. After sunset was spectacular! Water on both sides. Moon rising. But I don't want to it to sound too good or we won't be able to get our week next year!

Our family had such a glorious time staying at Dad's Legasea, we have already booked our return next year. The kitchen and living areas are wonderfully spacious, so that we could nightly cook and host our cousins who were staying two houses over - seating up to 14 people! The bedrooms each have a sink, which is a great throwback and also practical. The views both at sunrise and sunset are simply unbeatable. Stargazing from the porch hammock is not to be missed. The home is well worn, so if you're looking for modern and sleek, this wouldn't be your choice - but it is so classic and comfortable, it feels like home. Overall, Wonderful experience.

Great as always. Love the Tidelife people. Frig went out and had a new one installed within hours. Already booked Dad’s for next year. Also rented a second house from a different realty and just not the same level of service

Our family enjoyed our stay in August, 2021. Location on The South End is not as busy. House was clean. The refrigerator did not have a ice maker and the ice machine in the closet did not work. Listing offers a kayak & bikes but none were available. Listing picture shows a dock but that does not go with this house. You can put your kayak in across from the house. Kitchen was well equipped and linens & towels were supplied. I don't understand why they would have an elevator but unavailable for use.

We were blessed to spend 2 weeks at Dad’s Legasea this year. Our family had a wonderful time. The house is your typical beach house, comfortable but could use a few upgrades. Tidelife was wonderful! The toaster oven broke on the 2nd day and within a couple of hours they brought a new one. Can’t wait to come back next year!!

Everything and everyone was very nice. Suzanne was wonderful, down to where to eat! Love the cottage, very personable place. Views were beautiful front and back!

You can't beat the views from this house. ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS. We loved it. Only complaints were on maintenance issues. There are boards on the back upper deck that are loose and a little terrifying. Also, the beds were really old and misshapen. Worst of all, the sheets were so scratchy, we went out and bought new ones. The showers were also pretty gross and could use an upgrade in general. But, all in all, minor complaints. We loved the property and had such a good time. With a few tweaks, it would be perfect.

As always, it was great. We talked with Suzanne, Max and Ed about the need to replace refrigerator in kitchen, and move it downstairs. Water leaks into refrigerator, thus spoiling some food. If it was moved downstairs, it probably wouldn't leak as much and would be handy to keep extra ice, bait and any overload of food. Front, middle window needs attention. It blew out several years ago when we were there and still needs attention, particularly during high winds. It is loose and could possibly fall again. Many thanks to all at Tidelife. Everyone is always sooooo nice and friendly. Thanks, again. (1) description accurate. (2) Clean, well-managed) (3) Good customer service. (4) Definitely recommend. We love being on the beach & have rented this house for many years. We especially like the fact that the beds are made up & ready when we get there. So convenient after traveling for 41/2 hours! The house is always clean.

The home fit our needs and had plenty of room to have boys in one room, girls in the loft and two sets of adults had their own space. The home was comfortable and had plenty of room for 3 or 4 cars.

We booked Dads Lega Sea for our daughters wedding that was to be held in PAWLEYS Island. The booking process was easy and the staff was extremely helpful. Upon our arrival we again found the staff helpful. Every accommodation was made for us. They were familiar with the area and gave great directions to the house.
When we got to the house, we were pleasantly surprised with how clean and bright and airy the house was. It was just our style, a classic beach cottage. The furniture was comfortable.... just what we needed. The internet wasn’t working because of a provider issue. Again, the staff was quick to respond, providing a quick temporary fix, until Spectrum could arrive to properly install some recently added equipment.
We plan to return for a more relaxed visit before the year’s end.

Our week at Pawleys Island was all and more that could be hoped for. This is due in no small way to Suzanne and all the good folks on her team. I give them my highest recommendation.

We have been renting this house every year since before Hugo removed it from the island. Back then it was called Ventors, after the owners. It is perfect for our family & very comfortable. We love Dad’s Lega-Sea & feel like it is ours for 1 week out of the year!

We had an absolute blast! This house is incredible and was the perfect set up for several couples in town for a wedding. We loved the back deck, the hammock and rocking chairs, how each bedroom had its own sink, and the location was perfect. The house could not have been cleaner and included everything we needed. My ONLY slight complaint would be that we couldn't get the TV or wifi to work. Service was spotty but we weren't there long enough for it to be a big deal. Regardless, I can't wait to go back!

Plenty on room for 8-10 people. Nice double balcony and great location!
