Shop at The Holiday Market at the Kaminski House Museum, 1003 Front St. in Georgetown, which takes place Dec. 1-2. Vendors jam the lawn with homemade baked goods, unique jewelry, local artisans, and holiday gifts. There is also a Holiday Village for the kiddos.
Join the joyous celebration of the MarshWalk Santa Crawl from 5 to 9:30 p.m. on Dec. 9. Enjoy delightful spirits with specialty drinks from each restaurant on the MarshWalk while feasting on festive flavors with appetizing dinner specials. Secret Santas will stroll the MarshWalk looking for the best Christmas attire from 6-9 p.m. Come dressed as a Scrooge, Grinch, Santa, or Elf. Contestants must register.
Watch an ensemble performance with a TubaChristmas 2023 at 1 p.m. on Dec. 16 at Pawleys Island Community Church. If you want to join in, bring a music stand, dress in Christmas attire, and show up for rehearsal at 11 a.m. Registration for players starts at 10 a.m.
The First Baptist Church in Georgetown performs its annual Singing Christmas Tree from Dec. 8-11. For more than 25 years, this inspirational presentation has brought together musical talent to tell the story of the Birth of Christ. For tickets, call First Baptist Church at 843-546-5187.
Get in the holiday mood with seasonal favorites presented by the Pawleys Island Concert Band. Christmas at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Pawleys Island takes place at 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 15. The free concert is open to the public.
Visit Hammock Shops Village to view its Christmas tree and get in your shopping in these festively-decorated shops. A must-stop is the Christmas Mouse, with thousands of holiday ornaments, decorations and collectibles.
No list of seasonal activities would be complete without the Nights of a Thousand Candles at Brookgreen Gardens, one of the area’s most beloved holiday events. Guests stroll through the gorgeous displays while sipping hot cocoa and listening to the sounds of carolers and bellringers. The festival takes place from 4-9 p.m. on Nov. 25-26, then Thursday, Fridays, and Saturdays through Dec. 31.
