Planning an Easter vacation on the Hammock Coast

Easter falls on April 9 this year, so get cracking with making those vacation plans! The charming beach villages of South Carolina’s Hammock Coast make a glorious destination for a spring getaway that gets you away from it all.

Your first step is to book the perfect accommodations. We can help with that. We have oceanfront properties that range from one-bedroom condos to luxurious eight-bedroom homes. Whether you stay on the secluded Pawleys Island, or the Litchfield Beach or Debordieu communities, you can enjoy beach access and sensational amenities.

Speaking of the beach, go ahead and reserve beach accessories such as chairs, umbrellas and bikes with one of our partners, VayK Gear or Vacation Equipment Rentals, where orders over $100 get complimentary delivery and pickup from your vacation property. No reason to pack it when you can rent it.

Also, order your Groceries Ahead. This company will have your fridge and pantry stocked upon your arrival. Be sure your order includes eggs for decorating.

As for celebrating the holiday, there are plenty of Easter activities.

The Hammock Shops Village hosts an Easter event on Saturday, April 8, including a visit from the Easter bunny, egg hunt and other fun, family-friendly activities. The village's unique shops offer plenty of opportunities for browsing and shopping, while the restaurants serve burgers, milkshakes, smoothies and more.

The Annual Easter Egg Hunt at the Kaminski House Museum in Georgetown starts at 9 a.m. on Saturday, April 8. It’s a favorite event for the staff and volunteers as they use the lawn of the museum and Rainey Park (for younger children) to hide eggs. Hop on over to Georgetown for this event.

Start your Easter morning with a sunrise church service, hosted by Pawleys Island Presbyterian Church on the south end of Pawleys Island. The service begins at 6:30 a.m. If it rains, head to Pawleys Island Chapel for the service. On Litchfield Beach, St. Peter’s Lutheran Church holds a sunrise service at 6:45 a.m. at the Litchfield Inn. In case of rain, the service moves to the church.

If Easter brunch is a favorite way to celebrate the holiday, you are in luck.

Easter Brunch Buffet at Coastal Dish and The Deck at Litchfield Beach Club & Golf Resort from 1-5 p.m. on Sunday, April 9. The Rustic Table in Pawleys Island is taking reservations for its Easter brunch at 843-314-0164. The Rustic Table offers the brunch on both Saturday and Sunday. While reservations are encouraged, walk-ins are welcome. The Dead Dog Saloon at the MarshWalk in Murrells Inlet is another family-friendly spot for Easter brunch, served from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Hang with your peeps and have an Egg-cellent Easter vacay on the Hammock Coast.
