Located 2nd row at North Litchfield Beach, this 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom unit is located on the 5th floor in the south wing of Litchfield Retreat. Enjoy a view of the ocean not only from the balcony off the living area, but from the master bedroom as well. Bedding accommodations include: 1 king, 1 queen, and 4 twins. Additional amenities include: 2 cable TVs, DVD, dishwasher, microwave, central AC/heat, ceiling fans, Wireless internet, swimming pool, multiple elevators, outside beach shower area, grill and picnic area. Two parking passes including one covered space and ground level storage with beach chairs & toys.

The unit was clean, comfortable and very close to the beach. The master suite was about 15 degrees warmer than the rest of the unit, which seems to be related to afternoon sun coming through the windows — even with thick curtains closed. Was not a problem in December, but likely is uncomfortable in summer.

The location is ideal. The pool is well maintained and monitored. Our unit is not prepared to be a rental. It’s very outdated-like everything in it may be the original. The ceiling fans had about 5 years worth of dust on them that I had to clean. The ac unit above the dining room table dropped on my son at dinner the first night and we had to keep a bowl out for the entire trip to collect the water dripping from the unit. And it’s obviously been an issue since the ceiling is drooping as well right there. The one bedrooms closet had mold (yes mold) on the ceiling of the closet. The master bathroom shower was a he smallest shower I have ever been in and bc it was so small and closed with curtains water would flood the floor every time you took a shower. The furniture had tears in it at the dining room table. The floorboards throughout the unit were so beat up. And we opened a kitchen cabinet door and it just halfway fell
Off. Should not be rented until items are fixed and I would not stay here unless it was updated as well.

Overall experience very good. Make sure to bring your own toilet paper, paper towels and trash sacks. Washer and dryer is not inside the condo, but there is one on site. Condo was very clean and accommodated our group of 7 just fine. Close walking distance to the beach. There is a small parking area at beach access so we drove there. Pool on site was great as well, very clean. Noticed a police car parked in the parking lot nightly so felt comfortable leaving a few coolers and chairs in the back of the pickup overnight. Can hear waves while sitting on patio. Only complaint was the trash smell in the stairwell, which I later found out was coming from sewer vent in parking lot, nothing they can do about it though. Overall I would rent this property again.

Thank you for your review. As stated in our rental agreement, we do not provide toiletries or personal hygiene items for your stay. We provide a started set which include a single of toilet paper in each bathroom, a single roll of paper towels in the kitchen and 1 can liner in each trashcan. The unit is nice and clean and a few walking distance from the beach and has a swimming pool. Several outlets are not working and the unit is a little warm since AC cannot set to lower than 70. Overall, it served it purpose. Perfect for a group of 8.

We have multiple homeowners who like to control the HVAC temperatures to prevent units from being turned down to low - causing the units to freeze up, and then be a much larger inconvenience for our guests. Love North Litchfield and the location of the condo. IT is a nice place, but could use some updating. The air conditioning was not functional when we arrived and went a night in 80 plus degree temps in the condo.

Very pleased with the condo. It met all of our needs, Spacious and clean. Short walk to the beach.
We wanted a diversion from our usual daily routine and the cold weather in Maryland, and that’s just what we found at Litchfield Retreat. We were blessed with warm sunny weather and lots of days at the beach. Huntington Beach State Park is our favorite place and it couldn’t have been more convenient to get there from our condo. Overall, we liked our stay. Unfortunately the pool was closed for repairs and our condo needs a serious update. We didn’t let these things spoil the time we had away. We would definitely come back but maybe at a different month and different condo.
