It was great. I’ve been coming to Pawleys for more than 30 years, and worked with all three rental companies. This Tide Life is positively the best. Courteous, professional, pleasant to work with, and flexible. I am staying with them for as long as I came come down there.. I look forward to it all year.55

Amazing location right on the beach, river behind you, hard to ask for better. Kids played in the ocean the entire time and could run back in the house in 30 seconds if they needed anything.

Sunset Lodge is beautifully situated on the south end. We spent all our time on both screened porches, ocean side and creek side, enjoying the gorgeous views. The house was clean and comfortable. We switched from another realty company and found the Tidelife staff to be kind and very helpful.

We’ve been staying in Sunset Lodge for years now. We love it. Originally it was linked with another rental management company when we started staying there. We were wary at first about dealing with a new company but we’re soon pleased. Tide life has been great to work with. This property is well maintained and has a wonderful location. It’s nothing fancy and exactly what our family needs. My only complaint/concern is the drastic increase in weekly rate from year to year. It doesn’t really correlate with inflation or cost of living, it’s a bit inflated. I pray we don’t get prices out of our week long paradise.

We, my husband and I, had a wonderful two weeks on Pawleys Island. We were joined for part by two of our children and their spouses and also three little grandchildren. Everyone relaxed and enjoyed the peace and beauty of the place.

My family stay here was good. The house is in a great location but it needs work. The only bad part is the door to the washing machine and dryer fell on my 4 year old daughter.

We have been coming to Pawleys Island for 37 years and haves stayed at various places up and down the island, oceanfront, 2nd & 3rd row, north and south. We found Sunset Lodge and fell in love. We’ve stayed here through multiple owners and rental companies and will keep coming backS it’s quaint, it’s cozy and it’s location is absolutely perfect . With the creek in your front yard and the beach for your back yard, you never get bored and there is beauty all around.

Right in the beach just like the pictures showed. House was clean and kitchen well stocked. For anyone who travels with family and cannot walk far but love the beach, this is your house! Literally steps from the beach, right off the porch! No dunes to climb, no long trails to go down and the view is spectacular! Would definitely stay here again!!

We’ve been coming here for a long time, and I’ve dealt with all three of the major rent companies. This is by far and away the best! I wouldn’t consider going back. The staff is very nice, and are willing to flex a little ( I have to send my money in payments). But I DO send it as fast as I earn it. Really like Sunset Lodge, and so do my guests!

Perfect location. Fishing dock located where all the fish was biting. Clean home. Dishes could be upgraded or better organized. Love the stove. Back door knob was hard to twist and open. Other than that, it was a lovely cozy home. Will be back again.

Would love to have more rockers and a ceiling fan on ocean side porch. This is a great house but needs some cleaning out, decluttering and re-stocking. Closets need to be cleaned out so renters have room to hang clothes. Pots/pans, plates/bowls and kitchen utensils (and the drawers they are in), need to be cleaned out and re-stocked. Only 5 chairs to use around inside table for a house that sleeps 12.

This is our second experience with TideLife and The Sunset Lodge. The TideLife Team made everything so easy. The house was great, ready on time and as we remembered it from last year. Already have Fall return trip on the books. Would not rent from anyone else. So many thanks for everything!

This is a great house with a location that can’t be beat! With the ocean on one side and the creek on the other, our family had a great time spending time at both. The house was very clean and has a perfect layout for our family. The decks are also very large and great places to sit and look at the beautiful scenery.

Love the location and the well equipped kitchen. However some cooking utensils were dirty. Found marshmallows under the bed and a chair in bedroom.
Charging a mandatory beach equipment rental fee was ridiculous in winter. Asked for it to be deducted but were told that it was part of their agreement with VayK Gear regardless of the season.

The Sunset Lodge was perfect. Great views of both the Ocean and the marsh. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets from the decks. Had a Thanksgiving feast with 13 others on the back deck over looking the ocean. Only issue was the patio furniture and poor condition of it. Loved the kitchen and living quarters, will be back for sure.

Loved the Sunset Lodge. A great place to see the end of 2019 and welcome 2020. There were great sunrises each morning. The kitchen was very well equipped. Loved the decks and the screened-in porches. The city’s work on the beach limited beach access. We plan to return for another stay and have more walks on the beach.

This property is awesome! The screened-in back porch was our favorite place to hang out. We sipped our coffee each morning as we watched the waves crash below. The house slept 11 comfortably and could have slept 12 comfortably. Only complaint is unrelated to the house.... the house is located on a peninsula between inlet and ocean, and the roads flood pretty badly at high tide. You don't want to be trying to get home on the roads during high tide. Very scary and unexpected! Best to be home or away from start to finish of high tide.

We rented this house for a group of 10 people and loved our experience there. It is at the end of Pawley's Island so it is nice and quiet. The beach is absolutely beautiful. Wonderful sand, no rocks, no seaweed. The cabin is clean and comfortable and great for a small group.

Our little ones had a blast playing under the house during the heat of the day— no need for beach tents when your house is right there. I took every shower in the downstairs shower under the house. Fishing was plentiful. Walks to the point were an after dinner highlight. The house’s location is prime. How blessed we feel to fall in love with Pawleys again! Emma was so helpful, and I’m so grateful for her help! We’ll be back!

The house is great. Beach front, and also has dock access across the street on the other side. The house was on the smaller side, but we had 12 people in 4 bedrooms and we had a BLAST! With the outside shower and the 2 other bathrooms we were able to accommodate everyone. 2 recommendations for the owners: Have additional mirrors in the bedrooms for getting ready for evenings out. 4 ladies in one bedroom had a hard time with 1 mirror in the bathroom. Also, the flat sheets are too short for the beds. They are a bit rough and not long enough to fold over at the top to protect the comforter. all it was a great week. We would definitely recommend this rental, and would return in the future. The rental company Tide Life was amazing as well! Great communication, key pick up and drop off. Thank so much for making our vacation seamless. ♡♡♡

We rented through Tidelife for a much needed family vacation on the beach. The rental was in excellent condition, and just as described. Check in and out was seamless, and the bath towels plentiful. Our only suggestions would be: longer flat sheets on the beds. They are short and do not come up high enough to cover the comforter when folded over; and also adding mirrors to each room would aid in helping multiple people getting ready at the same time. Only mirrors were in the 2 bathrooms, and 1 in the living area. All in all a great place, and would rent again. Thanks Tidelife for wonderful week of rest and relaxation!

The rental agency was very nice but the house had nails coming up from the floor boards and outdoor porch furniture that was broken.We have 4 little ones and was concerned that they would get hurt which one did on a nail.

Nice house with everything you need. Perfect location on the ocean with a dock on the canal as well. We loved it!

We had a fantastic week at this beach home. We would go from fishing/crabbing to the beach and back again. We never left. The kids and adults all had a great time. Looking forward to returning

We love this house that is beach front and creek front! From our younger family to the older family, there are so many things to enjoy that everyone in the family is excited to stay here every year.

Loved having the ocean at our front door steps and the creek with floating dock at our back door so we could leave out boat in the water. We caught flounder, red fish, and crabs which made for some real good eating. If you are going to be doing a lot of cooking, the kitchen is a little tight, but nicely remodeled. The house was clean, the beds were comfortable, and you could tell it had been freshly painted. Loved having screen porches on both sides of the house so you always could be outside with a beautiful view. Suzanne was great to work with.

Most relaxing and enjoyable time at the beach. Love how the house is right on the beach. High tide is almost to the house. Love it not being commercialized too. If I had a complaint it would be the shower pressure was a bit low, other than that, PERFECT!!!!

We were so excited to stay in a beach house by the ocean. And, it was the perfect beach house. Everything in the house worked. We have stayed in rented homes before and it seemed there would be something that needed fixed. But this home was perfect, nothing needed fixed and we were grateful for that. We toured several old plantations and certainly enjoyed them. Of course the ocean right at the back steps was our favorite.

My family found everything as described. The facilities were all functional.The home was perfectly located for both fishing and beaching. As should always be expected, there were bugs, however the agency was prompt in treating.

Perfect part of the island, manager of property very nice to work with and very helpful. Literally steps to the beach and your own dock out back for fishing. Perfect for our family vacation with small children, teenagers, and seniors. Will definitely return

This was our 6th time staying at Sunset Lodge and as always it was a great week with beautiful weather and a spectacular view! Great small house on the southend with the best of both worlds (marsh/ocean). Look forward to returning!

Sunset Lodge is a great vacation home away from home. It is nothing fancy but has everything you need for an awesome stay at Pawley's Island. Steps away from then beach or the creek, we couldn't have asked for more. The staff at Tidelife were also a pleasure to work with; we will be back.

We loved this location! The beach was quiet with great waves for body-surfing and creekside fishing and crabbing was a daily must-do! The house isn't huge, but fit our 3 families (5 adults, 6 kids) comfortably. TideLife quickly responded to a minor plumbing issue. Will definitely be back!

House could not have been better for a quick 4 day get away. Right smack on the ocean and the creek out back. Our boat was a little too big to put in back channel but we had a blast going out on the waccamaw river when we put in up at the reserve. Tons of action and beautiful up there!! Beach was great and so was fishing out back. One of the best back porches on the beach. Nats were bad but they were bad everywhere so you had to just keep moving, which was more than easy to do. Place was super clean, comfortable beds and a great 4 bed bunk room for kids!!! You can't go wrong with the Sunset Lodge!!!! We will go back for sure!!! M

Our group enjoyed the many different porches and the creek dock. The location on the south end of the island is perfect; the home is on the dunes, and the creek and the home's dock are across the street.

We would have no reservations with renting this home again.
